This page explains how MyStarsAI collects SMS consent from end consumers on behalf of local service businesses that use our platform.
How SMS Consent Is Collected
MyStarsAI is a software platform used by local service businesses (HVAC companies, plumbers, electricians, salons, restaurants, and similar businesses) to automate customer review requests via SMS after a completed job or appointment.
SMS consent is collected through two methods:
- At point of service: When a customer provides their phone number to a local business during a service call or appointment, they establish a business relationship with that company. The business owner confirms during MyStarsAI onboarding that their customers have this existing relationship.
- Business owner onboarding: Every business owner who activates MyStarsAI must complete a TCPA compliance confirmation before SMS messages can be sent. This confirmation requires them to certify that their customers have consented to receive transactional messages related to their service.
Required Consent Language
The following disclosure is presented to every business owner during MyStarsAI onboarding and must be confirmed before SMS activation:
I confirm that all customer contacts imported from my software have an existing business relationship with my company. By activating SMS review requests, I confirm that my customers have consented to receive automated transactional SMS messages from my business via MyStarsAI.
Message type: Automated transactional SMS review requests sent after completed jobs or appointments.
Sender: Messages are sent on behalf of your local business via MyStarsAI (mystarsai.com).
Frequency: One message per completed job or appointment. No marketing messages.
Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
To stop receiving messages: Reply STOP to any message.

What Messages Are Sent
Every SMS sent through MyStarsAI contains:
- A personalized greeting using the customer's first name
- The name of the local business they visited
- A direct link to leave a Google review on the business's public profile
- A direct link to submit private feedback to the business owner
- STOP opt-out instructions on every single message

Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.
Opt-Out Instructions
End consumers can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message — immediate removal
- Replying HELP to any message for support information
- Emailing hello@mystarsai.com to request removal
Once a consumer opts out, no further messages will be sent to that phone number from that business's MyStarsAI account.
Privacy & Data Handling
MyStarsAI does not sell, share, or disclose consumer phone numbers or SMS consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Consumer contact information is used solely to deliver transactional review request messages on behalf of the subscribing business.
